Chester Beatty: page 36, lot 10, Histoire ancienne of Jacques d'Armagnac; detailed provenance information, including: 'The book was then lost from view until 21 June 1923 when Mrs Beatty [Edith Beatty] obtained it from Bernard Quaritch, now recently rebound in two volumes, as a present for her husband, as recorded as an inscription on the fourth fly-leaf. It became Western MS 74 [W 74] in the Chester Beatty collection, and was sold in his first sale at Sotheby's, 7 June 1932, lot 20. It was bought there by the Spanish Art Gallery, and sold to William Randolph Hearst...'.
