It would have been located between folios 151 and 161 of the Chester Beatty volume' [T 419]; entry lists the whereabouts of other volumes and leaves and focuses on volume 4: 'By 1753 volume IV had been separated from the others and was in the private possession of one of the Ottoman princesses. It surfaced in Cairo in the 1930s, at which point approximately 53 folios were detached and sold to various collectors, principally Major R.G. Gayer-Anderson [known as Gayer-Anderson Pasha'.); p. 60, lot 48 (other examples of angels depicted in Mughal miniatures: In 62.2 & In 11A.12); p. 62, lot 50 (double-sided illustrated leaf from a manuscript of the Iyar-i Danish: 'The hunter king kills the woodcutter who is dressed in deerskin' and 'The king in his palace with courtiers' [images on p. 63]; entry notes 103 folios with 96 miniatures are in the Chester Beatty Library, 51 miniatures are in the Cowasji Jehangir collection, while 'only about fifteen are dispersed'; entry also refers to Linda Leach's Mughal and other Indian paintings from the Chester Beatty Library: 'The two scenes on the present folio appear to be part of story 3 of chapter 12 [...]). Leach notes that two miniatures are absent from this section of the Chester Beatty group, and it is very likely that these two present miniatures are the two in question'.); p. 66, lot 52 (example of the work of calligrapher Muhammad Husain al-Katib in the Chester Beatty Akbarnama [In 03]).
